⭐ Who I Am

My name is Geri Watson, and I am the founder of Orion’s Legacy, a grief‑centered writing and ritual design studio inspired by my son, Hunter. I am a writer, editor, grief coach, ritualist, and meaning‑maker who believes that grief deserves language, ritual, and a place to land.

My work is rooted in emotional literacy, nature‑based symbolism, and the quiet truth that love does not end; it transforms.

🌌 How Orion’s Legacy Began

Orion’s Legacy was born in the aftermath of losing my son, Hunter. In the silence that followed his death, I found myself reaching for anything that could help me stay connected to him: candles, symbols, small rituals, and the language that rose from my grief.

I kept seeing the constellation Orion in the night sky. It felt like a message, a presence, a reminder that he was still with me. That moment became the seed of this work.

I began creating rituals and symbolic tools to help myself survive the impossible. Over time, people began asking for the same tools: for language that didn’t minimize their grief, for rituals that honored their loved ones, for symbols that made them feel less alone.

What started as my own healing slowly became a path for others.

🍄 What I Create

Orion’s Legacy offers tools that help grieving people feel seen, supported, and connected:

Ritual Cards

For birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and everyday remembrance.

Symbolic Art & Merchandise

Mushrooms, stars, constellations, and celestial motifs that honor memory and connection.

Grief‑Centered Writing

Blogs, reflections, and healing language that give shape to what the heart carries.

Editing & Story Support

Compassionate editing for memoirs, grief writing, legacy projects, and books born from loss.

Workshops & Group Rituals

Gentle, trauma‑informed gatherings that help people honor their loved ones through ritual and story.

🌿 Why Ritual? Why Symbols?

Because grief is not logical, it is relational. It lives in the body, the breath, the memory, the ache.

Ritual gives grief a container. Symbolism gives grief a language. Both help us stay connected to the ones we love.

I work with symbols like:

  • Mushrooms - memory, unseen connection, transformation

  • Stars - guidance, presence, the light that remains

  • Constellations - meaning‑making, legacy, connection

  • Thresholds - transition, initiation, becoming

  • Candles - presence, remembrance, the flame of love

These symbols help us access meaning beyond words, especially when words feel impossible.

🕯️ My Mission

To create accessible, emotionally resonant tools that help people honor their loved ones and navigate grief with meaning, gentleness, and connection.

🌙 My Promise to You

When you enter Orion’s Legacy, you enter a space where:

  • Your grief is welcome

  • Your story is honored

  • Your pace is respected

  • Your love is seen

  • Your memories matter

You don’t have to grieve alone. I’m here to walk with you, with reverence, with tenderness, and with the belief that your love continues.
